Bengaluru to Witness 3 New Namma Metro stretches in 2023

The Namma Metro will officially launch operations next year according to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). Natives and professionals who have been experiencing traffic problems in Bengaluru’s tech giant centers, Whitefield and Electronics City, may eventually be able to relax. The year 2023 is predicted to be a turning point for the IT city in terms of transportation and urban networking. Three new significant Metro extensions are anticipated to be completed and open to the public, potentially altering the development of many parts of the city. These metro extensions are projected to enhance connectivity and relieve congestion in a number of regions in Bengaluru.

    Purple Line

The purple line of the metro stretch from Whitefield to Baiyappanahalli will be functional by February-March 2023. The trials of the same went off without a hitch in October. One of the most notable developments of the Purple Line would be the Whitefield Metro Station. This station will cover the Whitefield community. The Whitefield railway station, the Kadugodi Bus Terminus, the BSNL Telephone Service Center, the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Ashram, and many more places can be found close to this station.

The KTPO centre (Karnataka Trade Promotional Organization) is one of Whitefield’s most noteworthy landmarks.
People would find it easier and faster to go to KTPO for significant shows like the Auto EV Expo with the Purple Line being operational. More interested visitors are expected to attend such shows as a result of the launch of the Whitefield metro station.

    Green Line

The current green line, which now runs from Nagasandra to the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), is currently being extended. Additional stops along the route will be made at Manjunath Nagar, Chikkabidarakallu, and Madavara.

    Yellow Line

The Electronics City side of the metro is stated to be accessible to the public in June 2023. It links Bommasandra with the incredibly busy Central Silk Board. There will be stops at a number of locations, including R V Road, Ragigudda, Jayadeva Hospital, BTM Layout, Central Silk Board, Bommanahalli, Singasandra, Electronic City, and Bommasandra.

    Blue Line

The Blue Line of the Namma Metro, which will be 37 kilometers long and have 19 stops, would connect the city to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) near Devanahalli. Only in 2025 is it expected to be put into function.
